B.K. England

Email Me

Born in Wenatchee, Washington, B.K. (Betty) England grew up on a ranch, where an eclectic herd of horses pranced through her childhood. She and her father shared a love of all horses, and her grandfathers were both horsemen. One had farmed with draft teams and took B.K. to harness races; the other especially loved gaited horses.

In 1977, after a move to the foothill gold country of California, B.K. began her career as an equine artist. Her success has led to international recognition, with artwork featured on covers or editorially in magazines such as Equine Images, Chronicle of the Horse, Ride!, Creation, California Horse Review, The Appaloosa Journal, Arabian Visions, Conquistador, and many others. B.K was the recipient of Auburn's 2004 Cultural Award, which she says "is one of the nicest things that's ever happened to me." B.K currently has an eclectic little herd: Pinto-Arabs, Haflinger, Miniature Horses, and a senior-citizen Mini-donkey! - You can view some of B.K.’s art at her webpage, www.bkenglandart.net.
